  • Developed and implemented a Purchase Request Justification system for all major purchases over $2,500.
  • Argued for laddered investment of additional Township Carry-Over Funds to stretch every tax dollar further.
  • Acted as Project Manager for Township Wide Performance & Human Resources Audits.
  • Discovered Fiscal Office errors with FLSA Overtime Pay - a $100,000+ Error by the Fiscal Office !

Year 2 (2015)

  • Fought for and Implemented modern OSL Payroll System to avoid repeating Fiscal Office errors of the past.
  • Implemented 38+ Recommendations from the Township Wide & Human Resources Performance Audit.
  • Hired Full-Time Township Administrator to support demands of growing Township.
  • Fought for and Implemented Best Practices Cost Allocation & Program/Performance Based Budgeting for the first time in Beavercreek Township history.
  • Restructured Fire Department converting to a Career Fire Department (all Full Time - no Part-Time) to better serve the Community.
  • Reduced Township Wide Overtime Costs to lowest levels in 10 years !
  • ​Developed & Implemented Township Economic Development Plan.

  • Worked with the Auditor of State for more transparent Township Audits to include notes of Fiscal Office Errors.
  • Fought for the Fiscal Office to implement private sector Best Practices for Treasury Management, Cash Flow Projections & Payroll.
  • Developed & Implemented Employee Compensation Plan - approx. $313,000 Savings to Taxpayers !
  • Negotiated with healthcare providers to lower Township Healthcare costs to approx. $784,000 below the 5 year projected level.
  • Developed & Implemented Tax Increment Financing (TIF ) to support Airport & Valley Springs Farm economic development.
  • Supported Long Overdue Renovations, Deferred Maintenance & Emergency Repairs for Beavercreek Library.
  • ​Implemented changes to Employee share/contribution for Health Insurance to reduce Taxpayer burden.
  • ​Completed Township Wide Reorganization to Streamline Operations.
  • ​Negotiated US 35 SuperStreet Funding Plan with City, County, MVRPC & State.
  • ​Supported, Developed & Implemented Shared Service Agreements with neighboring City, Township, County, Schools & more. 
  • ​Supported Development of Beavercreek Township Fire Department Standards of Coverage​, a comprehensive study analyzing Response Times, Staffing Requirements, Station Demands & Locations and more.
  • Argued for long overdue modernization of Fiscal Office and implementation of Private Sector Best Practices.
  • Continued support of additional funding to combat the Heroin Drug Trafficking Problem with the Greene County Sheriff.

Year 4 (2017)

  • Implemented Cost Saving Measures to Stop Deficit Spending in the General Fund – Taking the Township from approx. ($ 346,000) Deficit Spending (in the Red ) in 2014 to approx. $ 200,000 Positive (in the Black)  by year end 2017 and approx. $ 300,000 Positive (in the Black) for 2018. 
  • ​Implemented Township Restructuring Plan, implementing staffing changes, outsourcing positions, roll-backs of salary increases & more to reduce Taxpayer burden and incorporate Private Sector Best Practices.
  • Worked with Beavercreek City Schools to improve communication & strategic planning.
  • Outsourced Township’s Information Technology Department to a local 3rd Party IT Service Provider to lower costs & improve system up-time and user performance.
  • Worked with Greene County Board of Elections /Courts to resolve ballot issues that resulted in Fairborn & Kettering voters impacting Beavercreek Township Police Levy election results.
  • Increased Law Enforcement Funding to support long term needs of the Township.
  • Implemented Fire Department Standards of Coverage to improve response times to high growth areas and maintain/improve levels of service in high call regions throughout Beavercreek, I-675, The Greene, Fairfield Commons Mall, etc.
  • Initiated Design of new Fire Station #65 at corner of Trebein & Fairground Rd.
  • Implemented a virtual Station # 65 to realize immediate Community Wide benefits.
  • Applied for Ohio Public Works Grant for $500,000 and secured Airport Board & County Commissioners funding commitment to extend Water & Sewer to Greene County Airport.
  • ​Working with Greene County Parks & Trails, City of Beavercreek and Beavercreek Township Park District (separate legal entity – not controlled by the Township Trustees) to relieve Beavercreek Township Taxpayers burden for park operating and capital expenses.
  • Initiated Legal Action to recover Taxpayer Funds against former Assistant to Fiscal Officer.
  • Developed & Implemented an Investment Policy and Investment Advisory Committee to provide recommendations to the Board of Trustees on investment of Township Carry-Over funds currently earning Zero to little interest.
  • Continue to argue for Fiscal Office to fix the Data Backup deficiencies identified by the Auditor of State and to eliminate the current high risk practice of storing all Township Financial Data on a thumb drive as backup vs. the utilizing Township server/back-up system!

Year 5 (2018)

  • SAVED TAXPAYERS A PROJECTED $1.6 MILLION annually by lowering Township Healthcare Costs!
  • Reduced Township’s Annual Expenditures by 13.6 %.
  • Fully Outsourced the Township IT Department & Functions.
  • Approved User Interface upgrades and enhancements to the Township Website.
  • Implemented long overdue Accounting Software Upgrade to modernize the Township Fiscal Office.
  • Negotiated compensation agreements for Township employees - lower than State and Regional averages
  • Fully funded US 35, Factory Road & Orchard Lane improvements to reduce congestion & improve safety
  • Discovered, revealed and worked with State Auditor to find over $ 250,000 in unapproved expenditures by the Fiscal Office.
  • Fought wasteful spending requests  – a Win for Taxpayers!
  • Worked to develop the 10 Year Funding Plan for the Fire & EMS Department thru 2030.  
  • Hired and Retired several Firefighters, Paramedics and EMS professionals. 
  • Improved Public Safety with additional dedicated Greene County Sheriff Deputies in Township.
  • EARNED TAXPAYERS $668,000+ in Interest Income on Township Carry-over Funds since 2014
